Delicious Home-Made Cakes And Bakes Just Like Granny Used To Make!
When I was little, there was nothing I loved more than to pop round to my Granny's house and help her with a spot of home-baking. My granny was a fabulous baker, and we would happily while away many blissful afternoons covered in flour up to our elbows or licking bowls of yummy cake mixture!
It's not hard to see the attraction of home-made cakes and bakes. For a start, in addition to the satisfaction of having created something all by yourself from scratch, I personally think home-made cakes and bakes taste way more delicious than anything you can buy in a shop. Who can resist plump fruit scones packed with succulent raisins and piled high with clotted cream and raspberry jam... Or home-made cheese scones, cut in half while still warm and drizzled with oozing, melted butter...
As well as the taste, you also can't beat the delightful aromas that are given off when you're baking something in the oven. One of my all-time favorite smells is the aroma of freshly baked bread wafting gently through the house first thing in the morning... sheer bliss!
